Foundation Scholarships available
The Piatt County Farm Bureau Foundation is a 501c(3) organization. The Foundation hosts events each year to raise funds for scholarships and programs. The foundation awards scholarships to high school and college students who are majoring in an agricultural field of study. The applications for this year were due byMarch 23rd, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Students may apply and be awarded the scholarships in multiple years, however, there is a $4000 lifetime limit per applicant.
The Terry Lieb Scholarship is a scholarship in memory of past president Terry Lieb who passed away in 2015. This is a $500 scholarship. You can only win this scholarship once. It is for current high school students.
We have made several changes to the scholarship application this year, especially to the financial section. Most notable other changes include:
- You do NOT have to be a Farm Bureau member but you earn bonus points if you are.
- You must live, farm or attend school in Piatt County to be eligible to apply.
- You do still have to be going into an ag or ag related field
EVENTS DURING THE YEAR THAT PROVIDE MONEY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS ARE THE ANNUAL CASH BASH IN JANUARY, THE FOUNDATION GOLF OUTING IN JUNE AND A TRACTOR DRIVE IN JULY. PLEASE CHECK OUR WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK PAGE FOR INFORMATION!
