Farm Bureau Foundation
The Piatt County Farm Bureau Foundation's main purpose is to encourage and fund agriculture-related education, outreach and research.
AGRICULTURE EDUCATION
The foundation will promote awareness of agriculture as a field of study in elementary and secondary schools, colleges, and adult ongoing educational programs. The foundation will assist agriculture research by acting as an intermediary between assisting the institutions in disseminating research information to farmer/users by channeling farmers' research concerns to the institutions.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The foundation intends to provide funding for motivated high school graduates who have demonstrated scholastic aptitude and are interested in pursing agriculture and its related fields in post secondary schools.
SEMINARS
The foundation will also seek out persons or institutions who are making contributions to the development of agriculture and provide seminars for them to discuss their accomplishments with the farm community and the general public.
